Can I use Logic Pro/X with the Spatial Workstation?

The Spatial Workstation plugins are currently available only as VSTs and AAX. AU plugin support for Logic Pro/X is currently unavailable.

Rendering Engine

If you are developing your own VR or 360 video app, the FB360 Rendering Engine SDK can be used to playback a .tbe file in sync with a video.

How Do I Test My Mix?

The FB360 Encoder can be used to encode or convert your mix into multiple formats:

Oculus Video (Gear VR)

You can preview encodings for Facebook 360 using Oculus Video on Gear VR by either side-loading or streaming.

Oculus Video (Oculus Rift)

You can preview encodings for Facebook 360 using Oculus Video on the Rift by side-loading.

.tbe

.tbe files can be tested with a video by using the desktop FB360 Video Player in Standalone mode.

B-format (ambiX)

B-format audio can be tested using the JUMP Inspector (Android).

Why can’t I use the non-HD version of Pro Tools?

The Spatial Workstation requires a minimum of 9 channel buses, which only the HD version of Pro Tools supports.

What DAWs support the Spatial Workstation?

The Spatial Workstation is currently tested and supported with the following DAWs on OSX:

  1. Pro Tools HD
  2. Reaper
  3. Nuendo

What About Ableton Live?

The Spatial Workstation requires a minimum of 9 channel buses. Ableton Live only supports 2 channel buses.
